Discover Your Polish & Prussian Roots

Ancestry Tours, Genealogy Research & Family History Documentation in Northern Poland
(Former Prussia – Pomerania, Gdańsk, Kashubia & Masuria)
One of the most meaningful experiences I offer is helping visitors rediscover the places where their ancestors once lived.
Many families in the United States have roots in northern Poland, especially in the regions around Gdańsk, Pomerania, Kashubia and Masuria. Historically, these areas were once part of Prussia, and in many historical documents you may see references such as Prussia, West Prussia, East Prussia, or Danzig.
Because of changing borders over the centuries, many people searching for ancestors from “Prussia” are actually looking for families who lived in what is today northern Poland. This region was a crossroads of cultures and migrations, and countless emigrants from these lands left for the United States in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
If your family history mentions Prussia, Danzig, Pomerania or East Prussia, there is a good chance that the story of your ancestors began somewhere in this part of Poland.
If you travel to Poland, I can personally guide you to the towns and villages connected with your family history. Together we can explore the area, visit local churches and cemeteries, search parish registers and civil records, and look for traces of your ancestors in archives and local offices. Sometimes the most valuable clues come from conversations with local residents who still remember family names and stories passed down through generations.
I can also help build or expand your family tree, analyze historical documents and identify the exact villages where your ancestors once lived.
Can You Visit Your Ancestors’ Hometown Without Traveling? (Live from Poland)
If traveling to Poland is not possible, I offer remote genealogical research. I can search Polish genealogical databases, historical maps, archives and records to trace your family’s origins and prepare documentation about the places connected with your ancestors.
A special option I offer is a live virtual ancestry tour. Using a live camera connection, I can walk through the town or village where your ancestors lived while you watch in real time — seeing the streets, churches and landscapes connected with your family history.
I can also record video from these locations and send it to you as a personal documentary of your family’s origins.
Another interesting possibility is research connected with the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, which tells the story of people who left these lands for America.
Genealogical research is not only about documents and archives. It is also about places, landscapes and people — and about rediscovering a story that began generations ago.
If you are curious about your Polish roots, I would be happy to help you explore them.
