City Game in Gdańsk

Challenges, Puzzles and a Fun Way to Discover the City
A city game is a dynamic way of exploring the city, combining history, fun and a touch of friendly competition. Participants are divided into teams and set off into the city to solve tasks and collect points.
Each team receives a set of puzzles and clues leading to different locations on the map of Gdańsk’s Main Town. The goal is to find the indicated places, solve riddles, answer questions and complete creative challenges – often including photo tasks.
After completing a task, the teams return to me so I can check their answers, award points and briefly summarize the current results. Both accuracy and time matter, so teams must work quickly and carefully before setting off again to search for the next clues.
The game takes place in the Main Town of Gdańsk, allowing participants to visit the most important and characteristic landmarks of the historic city centre.
The route of the game includes, among others:
- The Royal Route – Long Street and the Long Market
- The Neptune Fountain
- St. Mary’s Basilica
- Mariacka Street
- Piwna Street
- The Long Embankment and the Crane
- Świętego Ducha Street and Szeroka Street
- Fish Market
- Coal Market
Unlike many city games based on mobile apps or tablets, participants do not explore the city on their own with just a phone. The game is guided by me – I check the tasks as we go, award points, summarize the progress and talk about the places we visit.
This way participants are not only competing with each other, but also learning about the history of the city.
Duration 2 – 2.5 hours
